Well, after about 18 months of being together, Amy said YES when her boyfriend Daniel proposed! Now we have all been thrust into the world of planning a wedding, and this will be taking place in August 2010.. fingers crossed! Alice is especially estatic that she FINALLY gets to be a bridesmaid! Well, we will certainly keep you all updated on everything we do... it'll be easier to blog now that we actually know the password!

Happy Birthday Amy!

Yes, today (August 9th) Amy turned the big 2 6..

And.. it turns out that her present did top last year's unicycle..

Yes, Amy's birthday present from her boyfriend Dan was a darling kitten, which she named Tibby... 'Tibs' for short. ADORABLE!

In celebration of Amy's birthday, we all headed out to Norwich to have a meal at Fatso's..Here are just a few of the pictures we took..

And here's the moment when the restaurant staff sang Happy Birthday and stuck a sparkler in the dessert! It's quite a funny story really.. minutes earlier they'd taken a dessert with a sparkler in it to the table opposite and started singing Happy Birthday, and the lady stopped them before they got into it and said "But it's not my birthday..", it was quite funny.. poor people.. haha.

Let The Blogging Begin!

Well Hello everyone! We're rather new to this blogging buisness so you'll have to bear with us! It's August 5th, & we're currently Ben-less. He is experiencing yet ANOTHER camp this year, his annual YM Camp. The girls (Joanne & Alice!) have just come back from a very tiring week of girl's camp.. absolutely covered in bites and exhausted. We'll just give you a quick update on us -

Roy is still busy as ever & is experiencing his 6th year
as Bishop of Thetford ward. Currently in process of coaching and moulding Ben in the art of Golf, & Ben is proving him proud! Still working very hard at work and church, but continues to love and support his family [and crack everyone up, especially Alice, even when she is a bit slow getting his jokes..]

Jo is still working hard in everything she does. She's now a Senior Staff Nurse in Wickhambrook, where she is working as a District Nurse. She loves her job but comes home with some bizarre stories about a few patients on occasion! She's currently the 1st counsellor in Thetford Ward's Young Women's Presidency, which she LOVES. She also has just spent the week at girl's camp, as Head Chef alongside Sister Jane Smith. Although she has a summer full of work ahead, she is looking forward to a well earned relaxing break to her Mother's in Spain come september!

Amy has just taken on a new job which she will be starting in September as a teaching assistant in a local middle school. This is to start her on the path to becoming a teacher which is her future career plan. She has just come back from a two-week holiday with her boyfriend Dan and his parents to Florida, which she loved. And in a few days time, she will be turning the magical age of 26, which she is not looking forward to. She also knows her gift this year couldn't possibly beat last years gift of a unicycle - unless she is blessed with a chocolate lab puppy that she has set her heart on!

Alice has now turned 17 and has embarked on the journey of learning to drive! She's also experiencing alot of her 'last's'.. she has just had her last girl's camp, she's going into her last year of school which means this is offically her last 'normal' summer holiday.. she's also into her last year of YW's.. she doesn't like the fact of growing up! She's currently Laurel President which is works hard at and enjoys and she has also become a Prefect at school, which she also enjoys as she gets to dress up all smart & boss the younger kids around..haha. It's all good fun. She's now awaiting her AS Level results, which will be coming through next week! So we'll keep ya posted on those.

Ben is now 15 and is the Teacher's qurom president. He is still in the full swing of Karate and is still at the same club he has been at for 7/8 years. He also loves Golf, especially playing with his dad, which they try to do often. He has won quite a few awards this year for Golf and Karate, making everyone proud! He's still a whizz at maths and school in general, and will be taking his GCSE's next summer, & he even took his maths & science exams early this summer, so we are awaiting those results! He's gone on many a trip this year, including a ski holiday to California, LA and camps for Karate, Scouts and YM. He's becoming quite the traveller!

Well, I think that just about does it for us and our first blog. We'll keep ya updated!
